| Abstract: |
In the showing room named ethnic components in the south provinces of the Vietnam Museum of History in H.C.M. city, there is a basket of a Chao Whou Chinese family, who emigrated to Vietnam nearly 100 years ago. The basket consists of 3 parts: handle, lid, and body. The body consists of 2 parts inserted into each other. Decorations are camellia, gold carp, on the red background. Though this basket was small, it couldn't be lack in weddings or temple worship. It was close related to living activity of the Chinese in general and Chao Zhou Chinese in particular--an important community in H.C.M. city.
